Yep. I (judith a. culp) once overheard Agent X describe the song as the soundtrack to Madonna's School for Dominatrixes. Thought that was something you guys might wanna know more about.
Me: So, yeah, I wish SafeWord had made a bigger splash. I think it's such a fun song. Then there's the two "interpolations" of it. I don't know. Just wish more people heard it.
X: It's still out there. I do think all three versions bring something different to a playlist - hopefully, people will start to add them.
Me: I heard you describe them as the music that would be playing at Madonna's school for dominatrixes - if she had one (laughing).
X: If we had the budget for it, I saw the video being Madonna kind of peaking into "classrooms" and watching her students do their S&M homework on willing subjects. I could see it so clearly - you know big budget, splashy sets, like the old days. Dude, I watch too much Billions.
Me: Well, you definitely need a big budget for that. You won't get Madonna for cheap and who wants to watch low-rent dominatrixes? I mean, I'm guessing you should spend top dollar on one even if it is just pretend. But I do love that idea. And I think each version lends itself to that video concept.
X: Something to save up for once this content deal goes through.
Me: (laughing) You know something I don't?
X: We're cranking out good music - it's gonna be hard to keep us a secret. I know that.
Me: This is true. We prolly should get our call out to Madonna now!
X: She'll love us!
Me: Love your confidence, X.
